I had an operation via key hole in October 2017. Removal of multiple fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis and removal of Fallopian tubes. I had open surgery in 2015 for fibroid removal under another surgeon so it was wonderful to have so much done via key hole. I have been trying for over 10 years to get help with my fibroids and Mr Jan listened to what I wanted. I recovered sooner than expected after the surgery and there has been a huge improvement to my quality of life. Mr Jan is outstanding and takes a patient centred approach which is important to me. I would not hesitate in recommending him and moving forward I will only look to Mr Jan's advise.

I have a complicated medical history which involves 26 years of extensive endometriosis as well as Breast cancer leaving me rather limited for any treatment which involves the hormones. Previous gynaecologists have never been able to offer a solution to this so I’ve delayed and delayed anything to the point where my life was so affected by it I was reduced to tears regularly. Mr Jan was confident he could do the hysterectomy and leave one ovary, which no other doctor ever advised and I am too young for a full unaided menopause. The surgery was long and complicated and required other measures to ensure the safety of my urethra etc...but it all turned out well in the end. I’m 2 months post and have been signed off medically for the first time in over 20 years. I trust this man. He has a very gentle and calm bedside manner, extremely professional and pretty much everything you want and more so need in a gynaecologist. I’m a private person and I feel very uneasy discussing this sort of thing but he handled it beautifully and I recommend him so highly.

Mr Jan has a very gentle and empathetic personality. I had been pushed from pillar to post for 17 months before I saw him and had no confidence that my problem would ever be solved. Upon hearing my medical history, at my first appointment with him, he was fairly confident that he knew what the problem was and that it could be solved. Following an MRI scan his diagnosis was confirmed. I am now 8 weeks post-op and my symptoms have disappeared. I am so grateful to Mr Jan and would highly recommend him. At all times he was so kind, gentle and polite; most importantly he was willing to listen to my concerns and offered advice and reassurance.

I had a total hysterectomy in May 2018 with Dr. Jan at The Lister hospital after finding him in Bupa website below. https://finder.bupa.co.uk/Consultant/view/204027/mr_haider_jan?ql=&qla=&qlo=&fhospitalNetworkId= I decided to ask Dr Jan as he performs a vaginal hysterectomy with laparoscopic assistance many times a year, I think I heard that he does it 4 times a week (NOT a month or a year !) Also he works at several hospitals (in London he also works at Parkside Hospital),which suggests that he is a good doctor. Other doctors said that it would be difficult to have the operation with my uterus size, 13cm , saying that they might change the procedure to a open surgery during the operation, or it would be the most difficult surgery etc., but Dr. Jan said that it was no problem for him. Anyhow the operation was a great success with minimal scars, and after 4 weeks from the surgery, I do not feel pain at all and can not believe it happened. Dr. Jan is also very kind and processional, and answers all my questions. I definitely recommend Dr. Jan to anybody who would like to have a vaginal hysterectomy with laparoscopic assistance.

I am so pleased I chose Mr Jan. I had a full hysterectomy with minimal intrusion. I healed well and the pain and bleeding was also minimal. Mr Jan listened and advised the best procedure for my condition. I can now get on with my life.
